Live Update from C&C
Sunday afternoon and nothing to do so, so P-Bluntz here chillin' with Cloth & Canvas while they spend some quality time jammin' and working on some stuff. About 4 weeks to go until the Finals performance of Survival of the Bands 2, and it's time to the nose to the grindstone and make sure that they give everyone who's there a performance that they'll never forget.
Now this is a live update, so I thought I'd update you all on what's going on. So...here's a timeline:
7:25 - Hassan's laying down some of stuff that's been stewing in his head. It's cool to be able to see as music's created.
6:45 - Bette Middler's not gonna wait for Cyncha D, so she's gotta bounce. dReW and Eoj are gonna work on 'That's How', along with working on some other stuff. Right now it's a brief hiatus for nicotine.
6:15 - Eoj has arrived and we're settling in. Hassan just sang his newest song "Hooky." A heavy Swing influence backs Hassan as he sings about the first time he played hooky. I've heard this song from its birth and I think you'll all like it too.
5:45PM - We're currently working on bringing back something from Cyncha D's portfolio, a Lounge-influenced vocal piece called 'That's How'. Backed by smooth tones from the band, Cyncha pours her heart and soul out for you with her beautiful voice.
That's it for now. I'll update and post videos as I get to it.
Peace!!

Cloth And Canvas on to the Finals @ Survival of the Bands!!
Hey there all. P-Bluntz back again with an update to C&C's progress through Survival of the Bands.
You might have noticed already, but Cloth and Canvas emerged victorious in their semi-final round and are through to the Finals! They had some stiff competition this week, going up against Rooftop Ridicule and Grocery Store Rejects. After a hard-fought battle among all three excellent acts, C&C and Grocery Store Rejects were selected to move on to the Finals.
A couple of firsts this show. It was the first performance with the band's new bassist Eoj, and even though he's only had a few weeks of rehearsal, it sounded like he's been jammin' with C&C since the beginning. It was also the debut of Jus-B's original song 'I'm Gonna Have You'. Babymaking music is all I can say. Babymaking music.
So...it's gonna be a tough 4 weeks for Cloth and Canvas as they prepare for this final. Come out and support the band, September 12 @ Gallo's Pizza Kitchen. I'll be sure to update you all with further details as they become available.
Once again, congrats to C&C and Grocery Store Rejects!!
Peace...

Cloth And Canvas - Semifinal Round - Survival of the Bands
What's up everybody!! Your man P-Bluntz here. I know I haven't posted in a while, sometimes life just gets in the way.
Anyways, down to business. Cloth And Canvas, after a brief hiatus to re-organize and recharge their batteries, is back and ready to rock! I'd first like to extend my welcome to Eoj as C&C's new bassist, and I'd like to wish Chris (Magpie) good luck in all his future endeavors. Keep on rockin' bro!
After a few weeks of intense rehearsals, Cloth And Canvas is ready for the next stage of their quest to make their mark on the Vegas music scene. This Sunday, August 9th, is the semi-final stage of Survival of the Bands, hosted by Gallo's Pizza Kitchen. They're going up against three other acts, Grocery Store Rejects, Rooftop Ridicule and Joshua Judges Ruth. Stiff competition for sure, but I'm confident that the guys, and girl, of C&C will come out on top.
Show kicks off @ 7PM, with Cloth And Canvas anchoring the evening. $10 dollar cover, but that includes all-you-can-eat pizza and soda. And let me tell you, Gallo's pizza is off the freakin' HOOK! I should know...I eat a lot.
So once again, come out to Gallo's to support! We guarantee it'll be a good time. Good music, good food, what else do you need?
Til next time...
